Ian Zandi

I'm a Los Angeles-based entertainment photographer who developed my cinematic heartfelt vision into capturing weddings. I first began pursuing photography as a career in 2021 following the reopening of venues in Los Angeles and establishing human connection after a period of isolation. With my background in comedy, I grew my network and skills into additional genre coverage including concerts, cinema premieres, studio portraits, Los Angeles history, and of course, weddings.

I warmly embrace couples of all backgrounds and identities. Whether the love involves LGBTQIA+ inclusion, cultural tradition or clowning (yes, I've covered multiple literal clown weddings), I capture the special day with respect, empathy and storytelling.

I'm a huge fan of cinema and much of my work is influenced by that. I believe "cinematic" is such a buzzword that I hesitate to use it, but there's no better term. There's a shared visual language from the classics of Old Hollywood like The Apartment to modern favorites such as La La Land. I typically don't set out to specifically create a 1:1 comparison to these films, but the composition, emotion, and color grading is undeniable.
